EGYPT GOVERNMENT SERVICES TO GO FULLY DIGITAL

Egypt is planning to shift a number of in‑person government services exclusively to its new Digital Egypt platform, aiming to improve efficiency and accelerate nationwide digital transformation.
What’s changing: Cabinet spokesman Mohamed Al‑Homsany said the government is reviewing which services — such as birth certificate processing and civil status documents — can move entirely online, while assuring citizens that service quality will be maintained.
Capacity & scale: Since its launch in 2020, the Digital Egypt platform has grown to offer more than 175 online services, including traffic violations, real estate registration, social insurance, and judicial services — a key pillar of Egypt’s 2030 digital strategy.

IMF | LOAN | ECONOMIC REFORMS
IMF COMING BACK TO CAIRO IN DECEMBER

An IMF mission is scheduled to arrive in Cairo in early December to conduct the 5th and 6th reviews under Egypt’s USD 8 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the first review of its USD 1.3 billion Resilience & Sustainability Facility (RSF), confirmed Julie Kozack, Head of IMF Communications.
Macroeconomic momentum: Kozack also said the mission comes amid improving conditions: growth is gaining traction, inflation is easing, and fiscal discipline is being maintained.
Reform pressure: Despite consistent progress, the IMF warns of structural challenges, including a low tax-to-GDP ratio, high public debt, and state dominance in key sectors.

EGYPT AND TURKEY FM’S MEET IN ANKARA AS DIPLOMATIC TIES GROW

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held talks with Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, as a part of the Turkiye-Egypt Joint Planning Group — reinforcing their commitment to bilateral cooperation on economic, political, security matters, and regional stability.
Meeting highlights: The pair discussed trade, investment, and joint development projects. Both sides emphasized the importance of dialogue to address regional challenges and enhance mutual understanding, with a focus on boosting economic ties and facilitating collaboration in key sectors.
Looking forward: Officials confirmed that follow-up meetings are planned in the coming months to monitor progress on agreements and explore new initiatives for joint investment and trade. Analysts noted that this engagement signals a pragmatic shift toward deeper cooperation between the two nations.
